Single Sign-On integration (SSO)

Participants don't need to log in to take an AskYourTeam survey. However, Account Managers, Account Administrators and Report Viewers must log in to access results.

Single Sign-On (SSO) allows these users to log in with their existing organisation's credentials. This means they don't need to keep separate ones to access AskYourTeam.

AskYourTeam integrates easily with any external system capable of acting as a SAML 2.0 identity provider. When the SSO integration is enabled, users will always be logged in using single sign-on.

What is SAML?

SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) is an XML-based protocol that uses security tokens to pass information between an Identity Provider (iDP) and a Service Provider. In this situation, between Microsoft ADFS and AskYourTeam.

If your Identity Provider (iDP) supports the SAML2.0 protocol, then you can configure AskYourTeam for single sign-on as a Service Provider.

How to configure single sign-on

SSO needs to be configured within the AskYourTeam system and Microsoft ADFS.

You can find instructions on Microsoft Azure for how to set up SSO within AskYourTeam.
